Teciem names Didier Bouillard chair to steer growth
Teciem has appointed financial technology executive Didier Bouillard as Chair of its Board of Directors. The treasury and capital markets software supplier is adding an independent chair as it prepares for its next stage of growth under private equity ownership.
Based in London, Bouillard brings more than three decades of experience in governance and leadership roles across financial technology. He will work with the board, management and shareholder representatives on strategic direction, governance and execution.
The appointment gives a long-standing capital markets technology executive formal oversight of a company whose software supports trading, treasury and risk functions at banks and other financial institutions. Teciem describes itself as a front-to-back provider, with products used across the trading lifecycle and risk management.
Industry background
Bouillard has held senior roles at Ubitrade and SunGard, working on trading, risk and post-trade platforms. He later became Chief Executive Officer of Ullink, leading its international expansion.
In 2018, he took charge at Calypso Technology. He moved to lead Adenza in 2021 following the merger of Calypso Technology and AxiomSL. At Adenza, he oversaw integration across trading, treasury, risk and regulatory compliance products, and guided the company through its later acquisition by Nasdaq.
Private equity ownership is a familiar feature of the financial services software market, where suppliers sell long-term systems to banks and asset managers and often supplement licences with implementation and support services. Board oversight and governance frameworks are commonly used to manage product roadmaps and investment priorities.
Wissam Khoury, Teciem's Chief Executive Officer and a board director, linked the appointment to the company's ownership structure and position in the market.
"Welcoming an independent chairman of Didier's caliber and experience to our Board of Directors marks an important milestone in Teciem's evolution as a standalone, private-equity backed provider of treasury and capital markets technology. The appointment reflects our commitment to balanced oversight and governance standards consistent with leading institutional fintech platforms. Didier's expertise in scaling fintech businesses in partnership with private equity, combined with his independent perspective, will be instrumental as we grow the business and execute our strategic roadmap."
For Bouillard, the chairmanship marks a return to a board-level role in a sector where firms compete on breadth of product coverage, integration across asset classes, and the ability to support legacy systems while modernising technology stacks.
"Teciem combines deep domain expertise, strong customer relationships, and significant growth potential. I'm thrilled to take on the role of Chairman, working closely with the management team and other board members, sharing my experience in supporting disciplined execution, robust governance and sustained growth."
Board make-up
The board now includes Bouillard as independent chair and Khoury as Chief Executive Officer, alongside Apax directors Gabriele Cipparrone, Jason Wright and Jesus Rueda, and independent director Mike Jackowski.
Apax partner Gabriele Cipparrone said the appointment would strengthen the board as Teciem enters its next phase of growth.
"We are delighted to welcome Didier to the role of Chairman of Teciem's Board. His deep sector expertise and experience governing high-performance fintech platforms will further strengthen the Board as the company accelerates its next phase of growth. We look forward to partnering closely with Didier, Wissam and the rest of this board to support Teciem's long-term value-creation strategy."
Product footprint
Teciem supplies treasury and capital markets software used by banks and other financial institutions. Its product suite includes Kondor, Summit, Opics, Sophis, Fusion Invest and Fusion Risk. Its systems are used by more than 340 financial institutions worldwide, including a majority of the top 100 global banks.
The appointment comes as banks continue to review their market infrastructure and treasury systems, with attention on risk controls, regulatory reporting requirements and operational resilience. Firms in this segment also face pressure to consolidate platforms and reduce the number of core systems supporting trading and treasury activities.
As Chair, Bouillard said he will work with Teciem's board and management team, focusing on governance and execution alongside the company's growth plans.
