Blee has raised USD $27 million in Series A funding in a round co-led by Fin Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund.

The New York company will use the funding to expand its marketing compliance software into more industries and geographies. The round brings its total capital raised to USD $27 million.

Blee sells software for legal, compliance and brand teams that review marketing, product and sales materials. The system is designed to work alongside content creation tools, flagging potential regulatory, legal and brand issues before material is formally reviewed or published.

The company is targeting a growing problem for large organisations as generative AI increases the volume of marketing copy, digital advertising, video and social media content. It argues that manual review processes have not kept pace as more material is produced across more channels.

According to a Gartner survey cited by Blee, marketing leaders expect AI-driven content automation to rise from 16% in 2026 to 36% by 2028.

That shift has created an opening for software suppliers promising more structure around approval workflows, comment cycles and post-publication monitoring. Blee said its platform maintains an audit trail and continues monitoring published material, including influencers' social media and websites, for regulatory compliance and brand adherence.

Customers named by the company include PayPal, NerdWallet, Expedia Group and SoFi Technologies. It said it works with large companies in financial services, travel, life sciences and consumer brands.

The business also reported rapid commercial growth, with annual recurring revenue increasing tenfold between June 2025 and June 2026.

Guy Shahar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blee, said the rise in AI-generated content is putting pressure on corporate review teams.

"Marketing teams are producing more content, across more channels, faster than ever, and legal and compliance teams are still expected to review all of it manually, with tools that weren't built for the job. Whether it's video campaigns, affiliate content, or digital ads, the volume will only grow as AI agents automate creation. The companies that set up their content governance layer now are going to be in a very different position than the ones that wait," said Shahar.

Review pressure

Blee said legal and compliance teams using its software reduce average review times by up to 65%. It also said the product covers the workflow from submission through approval and comment cycles.

Expedia Group is among the customers using the system. Mike Russell, Head of Global Legal Operations at Expedia Group, described the broader operational strain facing in-house legal teams.

"Every legal operations leader I know is being asked the same thing: do more with less, and faster. It's hard to do through process design alone. The velocity of the business has outrun manual review. AI-enabled compliance is what turns oversight from an aspiration into an evidenced, continuous control environment," said Russell.

The investor group also included Hannah Grey VC and National Bank of Canada. Existing backers Y Combinator, Penny Jar Capital, Cardumen Capital and Treasury participated as well.

For Fin Capital, the investment reflects a view that the issue extends well beyond a single sector. Marketing teams in regulated industries have faced scrutiny for years over how quickly they can publish material while still meeting internal and external standards.

"We've been watching the problem of content growth for enterprise marketing teams across industries and within our network for years. Blee is the first platform we've seen that's actually built for the scale of it," said Matthew Mann, General Partner at Fin Capital.

SMBC also pointed to demand from large organisations trying to manage friction between departments responsible for creating and approving customer-facing communications.

"By giving marketing teams the capabilities they need to resolve friction between departments, Blee helps organizations scale content creation while maintaining appropriate governance. We believe these capabilities will be increasingly valuable to organizations across their global operations, including the clients we serve today and in the future," said Hiroaki Yoshikawa, General Manager of SMBC's Digital Strategy Department.

Founded in 2022, Blee said it serves dozens of Fortune 500 companies across North America and Europe.
