TCS named 2026 Top Employer across UK & Ireland
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been named Top Employer in the UK and Ireland for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute. The recognition marks its 16th consecutive year of certification in the UK and its first certification in Ireland.
The Top Employers Institute runs a certification programme based on its HR Best Practises Survey, which assesses employers across six areas: Diversity & Inclusion, People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Work Environment, Wellbeing and Learning.
UK and Ireland
TCS employs more than 22,000 people across 30 offices in the UK and Ireland, and continues to invest in learning, upskilling and reskilling programmes in both markets.
Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK & Ireland at TCS, linked the recognition to workforce investment and client delivery priorities.
"We are immensely proud to be ranked as the number one Top Employer in the UK, and for the first time in Ireland. Our people are the heart of our business, and our focus on client service and ensuring that we invest in our employees in the right ways is reflected in this achievement. We will continue to place a strong emphasis on diversity and wellbeing, as well as skills development and learning."
Assessment scope
The institute positions its certification as a benchmark for people practices. Organisations are certified based on participation and survey results, with a framework spanning 20 topics across the six HR domains.
TCS also received Top Employers Institute designations including Top Employer in Europe and Global Top Employer. It was also awarded an Enterprise-Wide Top Employer Certification, which the institute reserves for organisations that show consistency in people strategy across their operations.
Adrian Seligman, Chief Executive of the Top Employers Institute, said the regional recognition reflected consistency across multiple countries.
"Being recognised as a Regional Top Employer for 2026 is a significant achievement that reflects the strength and consistency of TCS' people strategy across multiple countries. Their capability to scale strategy while reflecting diverse markets demonstrates exceptional organisational discipline, leadership alignment, and a mature approach to using insights and benchmarking to drive business performance across borders. This recognition positions TCS as a leader across the UK and Ireland, creating meaningful and measurable impact for its employees and business. We are proud to celebrate this continued commitment to HR excellence."
Skills focus
In FY26, TCS said employees in the UK and Ireland spent around 170,000 learning hours on AI and data skills. It reported that more than 95% of associates became "AI and data skills ready", while 50% acquired "higher order deployable competencies".
TCS has set an ambition to become the world's largest AI-led technology services company, and said the training supports that direction alongside ongoing client work.
Hiring plans
TCS has committed to creating 5,000 new jobs in the UK over the next three years. It described the plan as part of continued investment in the region, following its 50-year milestone in the UK in 2025.
TCS also highlighted outreach focused on digital skills, saying it has reached more than 10,000 young people through programmes aimed at addressing the digital skills gap in the UK and Ireland.
The company added that staff contributed close to 40,000 volunteering hours in FY26 across the UK and Ireland.
The Top Employers Institute said it certified nearly 2,500 organisations across 131 countries and regions in 2025, and that certified organisations collectively employ more than 14 million people worldwide.
TCS reported consolidated revenue of more than USD $30 billion for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2025 and said it operates across 55 countries with 202 service delivery centres. It expects continued hiring and skills investment across the UK and Ireland over the next three years.
