ADP has launched ADP Lyric HCM in the UK. The platform is also available to companies headquartered in France, Germany and the Netherlands.

The product combines human resources, payroll and workforce management in a single system for multinational employers. It can also be deployed in other countries where those companies have subsidiaries, covering operations across 140 countries and territories.

The launch expands ADP's human capital management offering in Europe as employers navigate more complex cross-border workforce rules and the growing use of artificial intelligence in workplace systems. The platform includes workforce intelligence tools, as well as compliance tracking and reporting across countries.

ADP is targeting organisations that want a centralised way to manage employee data and operations across several markets. Its service model combines centralised support with local implementation and in-country expertise.

The company draws on data from more than 1.1 million clients and says its workforce insights are informed by decades of payroll and employment information from millions of workers worldwide. ADP has operated in HR and payroll for 75 years.

European rollout

The expansion covers four headquarters markets in the region: the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands. From those bases, companies can use the platform to oversee HR, payroll and workforce administration across international operations.

The system is intended to give employers a single view of their people and operations while helping them meet local regulatory requirements in each country. Organisations can also use built-in compliance guidance alongside local expertise to manage changing employment rules.

That pitch reflects a broader trend among business software suppliers, which are increasingly combining operational systems with AI tools and larger pools of enterprise data. In the HR sector, vendors have presented those tools as a way to reduce manual processes and improve visibility for managers and executives.

Management view

Virginia Magliulo, Executive Vice President of Employer Services International at ADP, said the launch is aimed at employers facing more difficult operating conditions across multiple jurisdictions.

"Global employers face a new level of operational complexity," said Virginia Magliulo, Executive Vice President of Employer Services International at ADP. "Managing people across countries has never been more demanding as AI changes the design and rules of work. Businesses need to move faster, and leaders need better visibility into their people and operations. ADP Lyric HCM was designed to give them the flexibility and personalised support they need to manage their workforce and grow confidently."

Organisations using the platform can manage HR, payroll and workforce functions through one interface, use AI-generated insights based on ADP's existing data sets, and track compliance obligations across countries. The system is also designed to help companies maintain consistency across regions while adapting to local requirements.

ADP has been expanding its international workforce management offering as multinational companies seek tighter oversight of employment costs, compliance obligations and staffing levels across different markets. Employers have also been under pressure to bring together separate software tools that have historically sat in different departments.

By bringing those functions into one platform, ADP is seeking a larger role in how international companies organise workforce operations, particularly in Europe, where national labour rules and payroll requirements remain fragmented. The latest rollout gives UK-based employers access to the same platform already being positioned for use across a wider multinational footprint.

According to ADP, more than 1.1 million clients across over 140 countries and territories use its services.
