xpate has launched xpate Pro, an API-based money management product for digital businesses. The launch marks the company's move to offer account, transfer and reporting functions inside clients' own systems.

The product targets businesses that want to manage financial operations through software they already use rather than separate banking portals. Users can manage accounts, initiate transfers and access financial reporting through integrated application programming interfaces.

The move reflects a wider shift in financial services as companies embed payment and banking functions into software platforms and internal tools. The embedded finance market is expected to reach USD $7.2 trillion globally by 2030, according to the World Economic Forum.

xpate Pro is designed for digital businesses including software providers, marketplaces and fintech groups. Through APIs, firms can retrieve account balances, transaction histories and account statuses so financial data can feed directly into internal systems.

This could reduce the need for manual exports, reconciliations and repeated operational checks. It also gives teams direct access to financial data within the systems they already use for day-to-day work.

The product also includes payment execution. Businesses can initiate transfers, verify beneficiaries and manage payouts programmatically, allowing staff or end users to send payments without leaving the platform they are using.

Reporting tools

xpate Pro also includes automated reporting functions. Businesses can pull transaction and movement data through APIs, including account balance visibility and transaction-level reporting, which may help finance teams avoid collecting data manually from multiple sources.

Mike Shafro, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of xpate, framed the launch in the context of changing expectations among digital businesses.

"Businesses have come to expect financial operations to function as naturally as the rest of their digital infrastructure. Financial services are moving into the platforms companies already use every day. The question now isn't whether this shift will happen but how quickly businesses can adapt," Shafro said.

xpate argues that this model gives businesses tighter control over internal financial workflows. Instead of treating banking activity as a separate process handled through external interfaces, firms can build those functions into their own operational systems or customer-facing products.

This may be relevant for online platforms handling large volumes of payouts, software groups seeking to integrate finance functions into back-office systems, and fintech businesses building services on top of external banking and payments infrastructure. In each case, the aim is to make account data, transfers and reporting part of a company's existing software environment.

Broader push

The launch fits into xpate's wider strategy around cross-border money movement. The company was founded in Riga and operates across the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Its existing business centres on a payments platform linking banks, cards and alternative payment rails for merchants, marketplaces and financial institutions. With xpate Pro, xpate is extending that proposition by giving customers a way to connect those financial functions directly to their own products and internal systems through APIs.

The launch comes as financial technology providers compete to become part of the underlying infrastructure businesses use rather than simply offering a standalone interface. For clients, the appeal is often less about adding a new dashboard and more about reducing manual work, improving transaction visibility and fitting financial processes into the same workflows used for operations, sales or customer management.

Vendors in this segment are increasingly targeting companies that want to manage money movement in the background of their own platforms. That can include handling marketplace disbursements, embedding finance functions in software products, or automating treasury and reporting tasks that would otherwise require staff to move between multiple systems.

Shafro said xpate Pro is intended to give businesses more direct control over those processes.

"xpate Pro gives businesses direct control over their financial workflows. By exposing account management, transfers and reporting through APIs, companies can automate processes that traditionally required manual interaction with banking platforms," he said.
