Mail Metrics appoints Chief Revenue Officer Karl Kohler
Mail Metrics has appointed Karl Kohler as Chief Revenue Officer, adding a senior commercial leader as the Dublin-based company pursues further growth across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Kohler joins from Avanade Ireland, where he was sales leader. He will oversee commercial growth strategy, with responsibility for client experience, sales and marketing.
The appointment is part of Mail Metrics' plan to scale the business to $1 billion. The company operates from Dublin and has sites in Bangor, Bellshill, Huddersfield, Leicester and Warsaw.
Mail Metrics works with organisations that handle regulated and critical customer communications through a single platform combining digital and print. Its customer base includes brands across the UK and Ireland.
Kohler brings experience in operations, technology consulting and sales leadership. At Avanade Ireland, he led the business to 14-fold revenue growth over six years, during which it was recognised as Microsoft Partner of the Year.
His appointment gives Mail Metrics a senior executive with experience of expanding a technology services business in Ireland, as the group seeks a broader presence in European markets and develops its communications management offering.
Nick Keegan, chief executive of Mail Metrics Group, said the hire marks the company's next phase.
"Karl's appointment is a statement of intent for where Mail Metrics is headed. His commercial instincts, his experience scaling technology businesses, and his ability to build lasting client relationships make him exactly the right person to lead our growth agenda. We have significant ambitions as a business, and Karl will be central to how we achieve them," he said.
Kohler said he is joining the business at a point of change for both the company and its market.
"Mail Metrics is at a genuinely exciting inflection point. The business has built a strong foundation and a reputation for delivering critical communications at scale for some of the most recognised brands across the UK and Ireland. I'm looking forward to working with a strong leadership team to accelerate that growth, deepen our client relationships and drive the digital evolution that will define the next chapter of this business," he said.
Mail Metrics says its platform gives teams real-time analysis of customer communications workflows. Its sites also hold a range of certifications linked to compliance and operational standards.
The appointment comes as businesses handling customer communications face continued pressure to manage regulated documents across both print and digital channels. Providers in this market have been investing in software, analytics and workflow tools as clients seek tighter control over communications and compliance processes.
For Mail Metrics, adding a Chief Revenue Officer signals a sharper focus on commercial execution as it looks to expand in existing markets and build a larger European business. Kohler will lead sales, marketing and client experience across that effort.
