Fresha has launched native accounting integrations with Xero and QuickBooks for partners worldwide to eliminate manual bookkeeping.

The new links send financial data directly from Fresha into the two accounting systems, including revenue, payments, fees, taxes, refunds, tips and inventory movements.

The move adds accounting tools to Fresha's existing software for beauty and wellness businesses. Users can configure and map financial data to meet their accounting requirements, with records updated automatically rather than through manual entry.

The integrations are intended to simplify reconciliation between bank statements and activity recorded through Fresha Pay. Each transaction is entered into the accounting platform with relevant details, helping businesses compile profit and loss statements and prepare tax reports.

Operational focus

The launch is aimed at salons, spas, barbershops and wellness operators that use Fresha for bookings, payments and business management. The integrations also cover retail sales, gift cards, memberships, packages, commissions and team tips.

For businesses with larger teams, information related to salaries, working hours, commissions, and tips can be structured as outputs for accounting records. This is intended to support more consistent reporting for operators with several locations.

Fresha is positioning the product for businesses facing rising administrative demands as they grow across multiple sites. Different tax rules, revenue streams and team structures can add complexity, particularly for mid-sized organisations managing several locations.

Built in

Fresha said its integrations sit directly within its booking and payments system rather than relying on third-party connectors. According to the company, it allows transactions to be transferred with related details, including services, team members, taxes, tips, expenses and inventory activity.

The addition also links with other parts of Fresha's platform. Connected financial data can support products, including Fresha Capital, which offers funding to eligible businesses based on business performance.

Fresha operates in the beauty and wellness market and has more than 140,000 partner businesses using it across more than 120 countries. Its software combines scheduling, payments, marketing, team management and a consumer marketplace.

Fresha also said its marketplace connects millions of consumers with salons, spas, barbershops and wellness studios worldwide. It reported more than one million monthly downloads and more than $1.4 billion in monthly transaction value.

One Fresha executive, Dane Carmody, said that the new accounting links are designed to remove a routine pressure point for operators.

"Accounting has always been one of the more time-consuming parts of running a beauty and wellness business, especially as you grow. With these integrations, we're taking that pressure off by connecting financial data directly to bookings and payments, so everything flows automatically in real time. It gives our partners a clear, accurate view of their business without the manual work," said Dane Carmody, Head of Product at Fresha.
